Jaipur: In a major breakthrough in the 2020 Forest Guard recruitment exam paper leak case, Rajasthan’s Special Operations Group (SOG) has arrested the man who allegedly stole the confidential question paper from a Bhopal-based printing press. The accused has been identified as Khilan Singh alias KD Don.
Revelation During Interrogation of Main Accused
According to SOG ADG Vishal Bansal, the case took a decisive turn during the interrogation of Jabra Ram Jat, a previously arrested accused carrying a reward of ₹50,000. New information surfaced during questioning, leading the SOG team directly to the source of the leak.
Following the leads, officials traced the paper theft back to Khilan Singh, who was then apprehended.
How the Paper Was Stolen
Police investigations revealed that Khilan Singh is a resident of Chopra Kala, Bhopal, and was associated with Ruchi Printing Press, where the Forest Guard examination paper was printed. Employed as a binder for a BEL-associated company inside the press, he allegedly stole confidential question papers of both shifts with the help of certain employees posted there.
These stolen papers were then handed over to the main conspirator.
Paper Sold for ₹23 Lakh
The SOG found that Khilan Singh had sold the leaked question papers to Jabra Ram Jat for ₹23 lakh, received through both cash and online transactions in multiple installments.
Acting on intelligence, a special SOG team raided locations in Bhopal and arrested the accused on December 10.
More Arrests Likely
ADG Bansal stated that interrogation of Khilan Singh has hinted at the involvement of additional employees from the printing press. SOG teams are now tracking these suspects, and further arrests are expected in the coming days.
