Social Media Romance Turns Sour: Woman Alleges Exploitation and Forced Religious Conversion

Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh: A serious case has emerged in Vijay Nagar police station area involving the misuse of social media to manipulate a romantic relationship. A young woman has accused a man from Bihar of promising marriage, engaging in physical relations, and pressuring her into changing her religion.

According to the victim, the accused used the pretense of love and marriage to gain her trust. He allegedly conducted a symbolic wedding at a religious site and traveled with her to various locations, creating videos and social media reels together. The viral content significantly boosted the accused’s social media following and reportedly generated economic benefits for him.

The woman alleges that as long as the reels continued to attract comments and views, the accused maintained the relationship. However, once his social media growth plateaued, he abruptly left Ghaziabad, promising to return soon, and subsequently severed all contact.

In her complaint, the victim stated that she possesses photos and videos of their time together, and accused the man of physical exploitation and coercion for religious conversion.

Authorities at Vijay Nagar Police Station have begun investigating the matter, with officers confirming that legal action will be pursued based on the evidence and statements collected.
