Slogans of ‘Allah Hu Akbar’ After Gita Chanting Spark Protest in Seoni; School Principal Removed

Seoni News:
A tense situation unfolded in Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh after students and parents created an uproar at the Government Higher Secondary School, Ari. The controversy erupted when the in-charge principal allegedly made students chant “Allah Hu Akbar” right after the recitation of the Gita Path on December 1.

According to students, the incident occurred during a programme organised on the occasion of Gita Jayanti. They alleged that the in-charge principal, Pratiksha Mangadhe, pressured Hindu students to chant “Allah Hu Akbar” nearly 16 times. This triggered strong resentment among students, their guardians, and several Hindu organisations.

Demands for FIR and Suspension

Parents and members of Hindu organisations, including the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, reached the school demanding immediate suspension of the principal and registration of an FIR. A memorandum was submitted at Ari Police Station, where ASI Shailendra Tiwari received the complaint. The VHP has warned of intensified protests if legal action is not taken.

Written Complaint Filed

In a written complaint, VHP leaders alleged that the principal has repeatedly posted anti-Hindu content on social media and accused her of deliberately hurting religious sentiments. They demanded strict legal action under relevant sections of the law.

Immediate Administrative Action

Following the growing controversy, the District Education Officer took swift action and removed Pratiksha Mangadhe from the post of in-charge principal. She has been attached to the DEO office until further inquiry. Dharamendra Kumar Patle has been appointed as the new in-charge of the school.
