Sitamarhi: Minor Attacked Over Family Feud Linked to Obsessive Love Case

Sitamarhi, Bihar – A shocking incident in Sitamarhi has left the local community alarmed. A young man, already in jail for harassing a teenage girl in a case of unrequited love, had his brother attack the girl’s minor brother with a knife on Friday evening. The attack reportedly stemmed from the family’s anger over the court’s refusal to grant bail to the jailed youth. The minor is currently receiving treatment at the Sadar Hospital.

Three Months of Harassment Preceded the Attack

The incident took place in a village under Bathnaha police station. According to the girl’s mother, the young man had been harassing her daughter for the past three months, repeatedly making lewd advances and even threatening to abduct her. Despite repeated warnings from the family, the youth continued his harassment. When the girl refused to engage with him, her family approached the police, and a case was registered, resulting in the young man being sent to jail about two months ago.

Attack Occurred While Minor Returning from Fields

On Friday, the girl’s minor brother was returning home from the fields when he was ambushed by the jailed youth’s brother and two accomplices. The attackers repeatedly stabbed the boy, leaving him with multiple injuries. The family has also alleged that they are being pressured to settle the matter outside of court. Police are investigating the incident and have assured strict action against those responsible.
