SIT Questions Multiple People in Sadhvi Prem Baisa Death Case; Investigation Focuses on Injection

Jodhpur, Rajasthan: A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to probe the mysterious death of Sadhvi Prem Baisa in Jodhpur. Led by ACP Chhavi Sharma, the SIT began intensive investigations on February 1, questioning several key individuals, including the Sadhvi’s father, ashram staff, and her maternal uncle. Police are combining technical evidence with witness statements to gather crucial leads in the case.

Father, Ashram Staff Questioned
Sadhvi Prem Baisa’s father, Veermanath, arrived at the Jodhpur ashram from his village following police instructions. He told authorities that he was not formally summoned but came after learning that the police would visit. Veermanath was questioned for nearly three hours about the circumstances surrounding his daughter’s death, including the events leading to her hospitalization.

The SIT also questioned Suresh, a staff member at the ashram, and Gangaram, the Sadhvi’s maternal uncle. According to SP Chhavi Sharma, all individuals present when Prem Baisa’s health deteriorated were questioned to reconstruct the timeline of events and the manner in which she was taken to the hospital. Investigations are ongoing, and the police are awaiting medical reports, including the post-mortem and viscera analysis, before drawing conclusions.

Focus on Injection and Viral Video
Authorities confirmed that the investigation is primarily centered on the injection administered to Sadhvi Prem Baisa shortly before her death. Additionally, the SIT is probing the role of individuals who allegedly circulated a video of the Sadhvi earlier and attempted to blackmail her. Mobile phones of family members have been seized, and call records are being scrutinized for further leads.

Police emphasized that all angles of the case are being explored, and conclusions will only be drawn after all facts emerge.
