SIT Formed to Probe Sadhvi Prem Baisa’s Suspicious Death; ACP Chhavi Sharma Appointed Team Head

Jodhpur: In a major development in the case of renowned storyteller Sadhvi Prem Baisa’s suspicious death, Rajasthan Police have formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to carry out a detailed and impartial probe. The SIT has been tasked with examining all aspects of the incident comprehensively.

ACP Chhavi Sharma Appointed as SIT Chief
The state police administration has entrusted Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) Chhavi Sharma with the responsibility of heading the SIT. Under her leadership, the team will meticulously investigate all facets surrounding Sadhvi Prem Baisa’s death to uncover the truth.

Experienced Officers Included in the SIT
Boranada Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shakeel has also been included in the SIT. Additionally, a cyber expert has been appointed to examine technical evidence, including social media activity, digital records, and other electronic data.

Comprehensive Investigation Planned
The SIT will probe the circumstances leading to Sadhvi Prem Baisa’s deteriorating health, her treatment at the hospital, allegations regarding the administration of injections, and the purported suicide note that surfaced after her death. The team will also investigate previously registered blackmail cases and the involvement of associated individuals.

Interviews with Family and Associates
The SIT will conduct interviews with Sadhvi’s family members, individuals associated with her ashram, hospital staff, and the compounder involved in her treatment. The police have emphasized that the investigation will be evidence-based and impartial.

The police administration has clarified that the SIT has been constituted to ensure transparency and objectivity in the investigation. Once the probe is completed, the SIT will submit its report to senior officials, based on which further action will be decided.
