Badaun (Uttar Pradesh): A shocking complaint has surfaced from Badaun district, where a man has approached the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) alleging that his wife and mother-in-law are involved in running a prostitution racket, causing distress to him as well as residents of the locality.
The complainant submitted a written application at the SSP office, seeking immediate intervention and action. He claimed that he has been mentally harassed for years due to the alleged activities of his wife and her mother.
“I Am Fed Up with Their Activities”
In his complaint, the man stated that he is fed up with what he described as the “obscene and illegal activities” of his wife and mother-in-law. He alleged that unknown men frequently visit their residence and that both women have been engaged in the flesh trade for several years.
“Not only me, but the entire neighbourhood is disturbed by their actions. People are constantly coming and going. I request the police to stop this dirty business,” the complainant pleaded.
Allegations of Deception and Assault
According to the husband, the marriage took place about four years ago, during which he was allegedly deceived. He further claimed that after marriage, his wife assaulted him and eventually forced him out of the house.
The complainant said he currently lives in Rajasthan, where he works as a daily wage labourer to earn his livelihood, while his wife and mother-in-law reside in a locality under the Civil Lines police station area in Badaun.
Claims of Police Inaction Despite Earlier Complaint
The man alleged that residents of the area had earlier informed the police by calling Dial 112, after which two youths and some women were allegedly caught red-handed at the spot. However, he claimed that no concrete action was taken at that time.
He further stated that locals have CCTV footage allegedly showing suspicious activities at the residence, which, according to him, supports the accusations.
SSP Orders Inquiry
Responding to the complaint, SSP Dr. Brajesh Kumar Singh said that based on the application received, instructions have been issued to the concerned outpost in-charge to verify the facts and conduct a thorough investigation.
“Appropriate action will be taken after examining the truth of the allegations,” the SSP said.
The matter is now under police scrutiny, and further action will depend on the findings of the investigation.
