SIR Mega Camp Today in Prayagraj: Last Chance for Voters to Submit Forms or Lose Benefits

Prayagraj: Under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list, a mega camp is being organised today in Prayagraj to assist citizens with verification and documentation. The district administration has made extensive preparations to ensure that every eligible voter can complete the required formalities.

Urban Areas Face Major Challenges in Mapping

The biggest hurdle in the ongoing SIR process has emerged from urban constituencies. While a majority of rural voters have been successfully mapped and verified, thousands of urban voters remain stuck under the “No Mapping” category.

“No Mapping” refers to voters whose names appear in the 2025 electoral roll but cannot be matched or confirmed with any record from the 2003 voter list. If these voters fail to verify their details, their names may be removed from the voter list.

Special Camps at Nearby Polling Centres

To ease the process for residents, special camps are being set up at nearby polling booths across Prayagraj. As per the decision made during a review meeting chaired by District Election Officer Manish Verma, a large-scale drive for collection and digitisation of forms has begun from Monday.

During the meeting held at Sangam Auditorium, registration officers and supervisors discussed strategies to complete digitisation on time.

Important Deadlines

  • Draft publication of the voter list: 16 December 2025
  • Last date for digitisation of forms: 11 December 2025

Deputy District Election Officer Pooja Mishra informed that voters who fail to submit their forms before the final date will have their names removed from the voter list.

Any discrepancies in the voter list can be corrected by contacting 1950 or 0532-2644024.

Serious Status of No-Mapping in the District

As per the SIR survey report:

  • Rural constituencies show lower non-mapping percentages, ranging from 6% in Koraon to 28% in Phulpur.
  • In contrast, urban constituencies are facing a severe crisis:
  • City South: 42%
  • City North: 39%
  • City West: 33%

These voters are likely to receive official notices soon.

87% Digitisation Complete So Far

As of Saturday evening, 87% of all calculation forms had been digitised in Prayagraj. Out of 1,357 booths, digitisation is fully completed at 100% of them. The administration aims to finalise the remaining work within the next 24 hours.

Authorities have also clarified two categories of voters who must submit forms:

  1. Those whose names did not appear in the 2003 voter list but are included in the 2025 roll.
  2. Those who have shifted from rural to urban areas and updated their address and documents accordingly—such as Aadhaar, electricity bills, or rent agreements.

Failure to provide mandatory documents will result in official notices being issued.
