Shocking Smuggling Method Exposed at Beur Jail: Drugs Delivered ‘Like Monkeys,’ Police Stunned

Patna: In a sensational revelation, authorities have uncovered a network smuggling drugs such as smack and marijuana inside Beur Jail, Patna. The method used by the accused has left the police astonished.

Beur police recently busted a gang involved in supplying drugs within the jail premises. Four individuals have been arrested, and a significant quantity of marijuana, other contraband, and cash has been recovered. According to police, inmate Vikki Kumar was the key link in the supply chain, distributing drugs brought from outside to other prisoners. Vikki Kumar has over 12 criminal cases registered against him.

Drugs Supplied from Inside the Jail
Investigations revealed that the gang operated as an organized syndicate, sourcing narcotics from Patna and nearby areas for supply within the jail. City SP West Bhanu Pratap Singh stated that Beur police received information about individuals gathering near Beur Akhada for drug transactions. Acting on this tip-off, a police team conducted a raid and arrested Shailendra Mistry and Govind Choudhary.

Drugs Thrown Over Jail Walls Using Roofs
During the investigation, police identified a house adjacent to the jail from where drugs were thrown into the jail compound using the roof. The smugglers climbed onto the rooftops and tossed marijuana and smack to inmates waiting at predetermined spots inside the jail, in a method described as “monkey-like.” The police have written to jail authorities regarding action against the house and recommended stricter security measures.

Connection to Dulhin Bazaar
During questioning, the arrested individuals revealed that Dhananjay, a resident of Lal Bhadsara in Dulhin Bazaar, supplied marijuana. Following this lead, Dhananjay was also arrested. Further investigation revealed that Jitendra, whose house is next to Beur Jail, threw drugs from his rooftop to the notorious inmate Vikki Kumar. Jitendra has admitted to supplying drugs from his roof to Vikki Kumar.

The police continue to investigate the full extent of the syndicate and have assured enhanced security measures to prevent further smuggling incidents within Beur Jail.
