Shocking Revelation in Sadhvi Prem Baisa Death Case: FIR Filed Against Compounder for Alleged Medical Negligence

Jodhpur (Rajasthan): Nearly 20 days after the mysterious death of renowned religious storyteller Sadhvi Prem Baisa, the Boranada Police in Jodhpur has registered the first FIR against a compounder identified as Devi Singh, following major revelations made during the ongoing SIT investigation.

According to police sources, the SIT probe has found that the compounder allegedly violated medical protocols and administered injections that are legally meant to be given only under the supervision of a registered medical practitioner.

The case has triggered widespread concern, as the injections were reportedly given shortly before Sadhvi Prem Baisa’s sudden death.

Two Injections Allegedly Led to Sudden Death

The incident reportedly took place on January 28 at an ashram in Boranada, where Sadhvi Prem Baisa fell ill. It is alleged that Devi Singh administered two injections — Dexamethasone (Dexona) and Diclofenac, both considered “Schedule-H” category medicines.

Police records indicate that immediately after the injections were administered, Sadhvi’s health deteriorated rapidly, leading to her death within a short period.

Medical Board Raises Serious Concerns

The SIT sought expert opinion from a medical board, which reportedly stated that the combination of Dexona and Diclofenac should not be administered together, especially without proper medical supervision.

Experts also pointed out that such injections may prove extremely dangerous for patients suffering from respiratory conditions such as asthma, as adverse reactions can sometimes turn fatal.

Compounder Accused of Multiple Violations

Investigators have highlighted several major lapses allegedly committed by Devi Singh. As per medical regulations, Schedule-H drugs must only be administered on a doctor’s prescription and under professional supervision.

However, Devi Singh is reportedly not a registered medical practitioner, yet he allegedly took independent decisions beyond his authorised role. Police sources stated that despite having knowledge of Sadhvi Prem Baisa’s medical history, the compounder allegedly failed to follow safety protocols.

Possible Punishment Under BNS

During the past 20 days, the SIT has questioned several individuals, including Sadhvi’s father, ashram staff, cooks, and hospital personnel.

If the allegations of negligence are proven in court, Devi Singh could face strict punishment under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), particularly Sections 105 or 106, which deal with serious offences related to negligence resulting in death.

Investigation Still Ongoing

Police officials stated that the investigation is still in progress and authorities are also examining whether the death was purely a case of medical negligence or if a deeper conspiracy could be involved.

The case has sparked strong public reactions, as it raises alarming questions about unqualified medical practices and the misuse of restricted medicines.
