Shocking Revelation in Rajsamand: Pregnant Woman and Toddler Murdered, Mother’s Body Found in Pond

Rajsamand, Rajasthan: A gruesome case has come to light in Rajsamand district, where a pregnant woman and her two-year-old son were brutally murdered. The woman’s body was recovered from a pond, while the search for the child’s body continues in nearby forested areas. Police have revealed key details following the arrest of a suspect.

Mother and Son Missing for Seven Days
According to police, Priyanka Rawat (22) and her son Aryan (2) went missing on February 11. Their family filed a missing person report on February 12, prompting authorities to begin an investigation. During the probe, call records led police to a suspect named Govind Singh, who was taken into custody on Wednesday night. During interrogation, he allegedly confessed to the murders.

Sequence of the Crime
Police stated that the suspect first killed Priyanka, who was nine months pregnant, and tied a stone to her body before disposing of it in a pond in Bhim. He then murdered two-year-old Aryan and left the child’s body in the forests of Darra, approximately 20 kilometers away from Bhim. Priyanka’s husband is reportedly employed as a cook.

Search Operation with SDRF Assistance
A search operation was conducted at the pond on Thursday morning around 10 a.m., with assistance from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). After about an hour of effort, Priyanka’s body was retrieved. Police and villagers are continuing the search for Aryan’s body in the forest area, guided by the suspect’s directions. The police are conducting a thorough investigation to uncover the motive behind this double murder.

Senior Officials at the Scene
Senior district police officials, including Superintendent of Police Mamta Gupta and Additional Superintendent Mahendra Parik, visited the site to supervise the investigation and provide directives. Authorities confirmed that interrogation of the accused is ongoing and further revelations are expected as the case develops.
