Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan: In a chilling incident from Gudhagorji, an elderly woman was brutally murdered in her ancestral mansion in Guda (Ponk) village, leaving the local community in shock. The 65-year-old woman, who lived alone, was found dead with her throat slit, and signs of a fierce struggle were evident at the crime scene. The Jhunjhunu police are investigating the case from all angles, including robbery and personal enmity.

Alone in Ancestral Mansion
The deceased, identified as Sita Devi Mahajan, resided alone in her family’s ancestral mansion. Her family members have been staying in Kolkata for business purposes for an extended period.

Neighbors Discover Gruesome Scene
On Monday morning, when no movement was observed in Sita Devi’s house, neighbors grew suspicious. Upon entering, they were horrified to find her bloodied body inside. Preliminary investigations revealed that she had been killed with a sharp-edged weapon.

Evidence of Struggle
The room was found in complete disarray, with blood splattered on the walls and floor, indicating that Sita Devi had fiercely resisted her attackers. Authorities suspect she fought until her final moments, but the assailants brutally ended her life.

Police, FSL, and Dog Squad on Site
The Gudhagorji police quickly arrived and sealed the mansion. Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) teams and a dog squad were called to collect evidence. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Police confirmed that the investigation is being conducted from all possible angles, including robbery, personal disputes, and possible involvement of acquaintances.

Robbery Suspected
Villagers allege that the perpetrators may have entered the mansion with the intention of looting. It is suspected that Sita Devi resisted the robbery, which led to her murder. The police have not yet officially confirmed any theft. Meanwhile, the incident has created an atmosphere of fear in the village, and residents are demanding the swift arrest of the culprits.
