Shivraj Singh Chouhan Hits a Six as Ravindra Jadeja Bowls at Raisen Sports Festival

In a spirited display at the Parliamentarian Sports Festival in Raisen, Madhya Pradesh, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took to the field with a bat, hitting a powerful six off a delivery from Indian cricket star Ravindra Jadeja. The event, marking the culmination of the festival, saw a massive turnout of sports enthusiasts and local residents.

A Star-Studded Closing Ceremony
Shivraj Singh Chouhan, whose parliamentary constituency includes Vidisha, joined Jadeja and several senior BJP leaders for the closing ceremony. Jadeja, who bowled during the event, expressed his delight at the crowd, saying, “Being here at the festival feels like watching an international match. The energy and love of the people are truly overwhelming. I sincerely thank everyone for this warm reception.”

Massive Participation Across the Region
The sports festival witnessed active participation from nearly 900 panchayats, with competitions held across the constituency over 100 days. Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar described the event as a “grand sports celebration,” highlighting the enthusiasm and sporting spirit displayed by communities throughout the region.

Roadshow and Player Interaction
Apart from playing on the field, Shivraj Singh Chouhan also conducted a roadshow in Raisen, accompanied by Jadeja. Both leaders engaged with players, encouraging and motivating them while enjoying the matches. The stadium was filled with cheering spectators, underscoring the success of the festival in promoting sports at the grassroots level.
