
Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh: Shivpuri police have successfully intercepted a major drug peddler carrying 280 grams of smack worth ₹56 lakh, preventing its distribution in the Karrarea area. The accused, Nilesh Lodhi (26), son of Radhelal Lodhi, resident of Sirsoud, Amola police station area, is reportedly addicted to smack himself and was planning to supply the consignment to smaller local dealers.
Details of the Seizure
Acting on a tip-off, a police team stationed near the Ramkudhi Mandir bridge in Amola intercepted Nilesh. During the search, the team recovered 280 grams of smack, valued at ₹56 lakh, along with the accused’s motorcycle, which has also been seized by the authorities.
Police Statement
Karrarea SDOP (IPS) Dr. Ayush Jakhar informed the press that preliminary interrogation revealed the accused intended to distribute the drug in small quantities to minor traffickers in and around the Karrarea region. Nilesh Lodhi has prior cases of assault registered against him and is known to have been consuming smack for several years.
The accused has been booked under the NDPS Act, and the police have initiated a detailed investigation into the matter.
