Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, actor Rajpal Yadav, and other celebrities joined Bageshwardham Peethadhishwar Dhirendra Krishna Shastri on Friday evening during his ongoing “Sanatan Hindu Unity” Padyatra from Delhi to Vrindavan. The march, which advocates Hindu unity, has attracted participation from spiritual leaders, prominent politicians, actors, and even cricketers.
The celebrities attended the initial discourse, sitting respectfully on the ground alongside saints, before joining the padyatra. Shilpa Shetty and Rajpal Yadav walked several kilometers on foot along with Shastri and other spiritual leaders, demonstrating solidarity with the cause.
A video from the evening went viral on social media showing Shilpa Shetty sitting on the road with saints, engaging in a casual conversation with Rajpal Yadav. She humorously mentioned trying to get his phone number earlier. During the interaction, Shastri was seen giving blessings to a woman, after which Shilpa requested a blessing as well, which Shastri immediately granted by placing his hand on her head.
The padyatra has witnessed participation from diverse communities, including members of the Muslim community, who have joined the march to show support. Shastri has emphasized that he has no issues with any religious community; his concerns are solely directed towards those with anti-national ideologies.
The march, covering hundreds of kilometers over several days, aims to raise awareness about unity among Hindus and foster communal harmony across states, drawing massive public engagement at every stop.
