Sheopur Head Constable Goes Missing; Bike Found on Highway, Mother Levels Serious Allegations Against TI

A mystery has deepened in Madhya Pradesh’s Sheopur district after Head Constable Vijay Jadoun, posted at Karahal Police Station, went missing under suspicious circumstances. His motorcycle was found abandoned on a highway near a forest area, triggering concerns within the police department and his family.

According to officials, Vijay Jadoun has been untraceable since Wednesday night. The discovery of his bullet motorcycle in a jungle-adjacent area raised fears of a possible untoward incident.

Following the incident, Sheopur Superintendent of Police Sudhir Agrawal constituted a special search team to locate the missing officer. However, even after more than 36 hours, no concrete leads have emerged, intensifying anxiety among his relatives.

Police sources said efforts are underway to trace Jadoun using mobile location tracking and Call Detail Records (CDR). The cyber cell has also been pressed into service, while CCTV footage along the Sheopur–Shivpuri road and nearby routes is being examined. Despite extensive efforts, investigators have so far failed to obtain any significant breakthrough.

Meanwhile, the case took a serious turn after the mother of the missing constable, Rajeshwari Jadoun, levelled grave allegations against Karahal Station House Officer (TI) Yasmin Khan and Head Constable Mahavir. She alleged that her son was subjected to continuous mental harassment and humiliation related to duty matters.

“My son was under extreme pressure. He was being insulted repeatedly and could no longer tolerate the mental torture,” she claimed, adding that this harassment may have forced him into a distressing situation.

Upon receiving information about the abandoned motorcycle, Karahal police rushed to the spot and conducted a search operation in the surrounding forest area, but no trace of Vijay Jadoun was found.

While the allegations have sparked widespread concern, TI Yasmin Khan has so far declined to comment on the matter. Police officials stated that the investigation is being conducted from all possible angles, and no theory has been ruled out at this stage.

Authorities have assured the family that every effort is being made to locate the missing head constable and to bring clarity to the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
