Devotees and well-wishers from across the region are gathering to witness this spiritual and cultural extravaganza.
Grand Baraat to Begin from Vinod Baba Ashram
The groom’s procession, or baraat, will commence from the ashram of Saint Vinod Baba in Barsana, accompanied by traditional band music and ceremonial decorations. The baraat will traverse key locations, including Pilikothi and the bus stand, before reaching Mataji Gaushala, where the bride’s family will welcome them with customary rituals.
Thousands of Devotees Expected
Thousands of devotees have already arrived in Barsana to witness the auspicious occasion. From saints and religious scholars to Bollywood celebrities, everyone is eager to be part of this divine wedding celebration.
Presence of Revered Saints and Celebrities
Several eminent saints will grace the event, including Peethadhishwar Guru Sharanand Maharaj of Gokul Ramanreti Ashram, Rajendra Das Maharaj of Malukpeeth, and Krishna Chandra Thakur Ji, along with numerous other religious leaders from Vrindavan. Bollywood singers and actors, including B Praak and popular Punjabi artists, are also attending the ceremony.
Splendid Welcome for the Groom
Upon arrival in Barsana, the groom’s procession will receive a grand welcome at the gates of the bride’s residence. Traditional tilak ceremonies will be performed by saints, and all guests will partake in ceremonial greetings.
Wedding Rituals According to Vedic Tradition
Following the welcome, the wedding rituals will be conducted in accordance with Vedic traditions. Learned priests and Brahmins will chant mantras, perform sacred rituals, and carry out all ceremonial rites, including offerings to Agni Devta and the seven pheras (rounds) around the sacred fire. The fun ritual of “joota churaai” (stealing the groom’s shoes) will also take place, adding a festive touch.
Kanyadaan by Albeli Madhuri Sharan Maharaj
The bride’s fatherly responsibility will be entrusted to Sri Albeli Madhuri Sharan Maharaj, who will perform the kanyadaan, giving his beloved daughter’s hand to Giridhar Lal. The groom will then give his vows and complete the sacred marriage rituals with the bride.
Blessings from Saints and Community
Blessings will be offered by saints such as Padma Shri Ramesh Baba, Vinod Baba, and Jadhkhor Maharaj, representing the Sri Ji sect. The ceremony evokes the divine love of Lord Krishna and Radha in Dwapar Yuga, and Barsana witnesses this celebration of devotion and culture in the present era.
Reception and Feast
The following day, a grand reception will be hosted for all devotees and guests. Traditional Braj delicacies, including milk sweets, rabri, and other local specialties, will be served to honor the groom and bride.
With thousands of devotees, saints, and celebrities in attendance, today’s wedding at Indresh Maharaj’s residence promises to be a memorable celebration of faith, culture, and devotion.
