A heartwarming interaction between Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and a young girl during the Janata Darshan in Lucknow on Monday has won hearts on social media. The video of the emotional exchange has gone viral, drawing widespread appreciation for the Chief Minister’s empathetic approach.
The little girl, Anabi Ali, had arrived at the Janata Darshan along with her family to seek help for her school admission. As Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached her, he gently asked her name and the reason for her visit. With childlike innocence, Anabi requested admission to Loreto School.
Smiling warmly, the Chief Minister asked her which class she wished to join. “Nursery,” the girl replied softly. When Yogi Adityanath asked whether she would go to school daily and study sincerely, Anabi nodded her head in agreement, saying the school starts at 10 am. The simple yet touching conversation drew smiles from those present.
Recites Poem, Wins Praise
During the interaction, the Chief Minister asked Anabi about her previous schooling. She said she had been studying at a playhouse school, where she learned the alphabet. On request, the young girl confidently recited a poem:
“We are brave children, brave children we are. We may be small, but our hearts are pure. When we grow up, we will make our nation proud. Jai Hind.”
Impressed by her confidence and enthusiasm, the Chief Minister encouraged her and instructed officials present to ensure her admission. He also gifted her chocolates, further delighting the child.
Family Expresses Gratitude
After the meeting, Anabi told reporters that she had asked “Yogi ji” for help with her admission and that he had assured her support. Her mother, Farah Musharraf, said the family had come with hope and was reassured that their daughter’s admission would be taken care of.
The incident has been widely shared online, with many praising the Chief Minister for his humane and approachable conduct, and for reinforcing the importance of education and equal opportunity for children.
The video stands as a reminder that governance is not only about policies and administration, but also about compassionate listening and small moments that inspire trust among citizens.
