Shahdol Collector Launches Unique Initiative: BLOs Completing 100% Digitization to Get Amarkantak Trip and Family Movie Outing

Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh: The ongoing SIR survey in Shahdol has received a motivational boost thanks to an innovative initiative by District Collector Dr. Kedar Singh. Recognizing the pressure and demanding nature of election-related work, the collector has introduced a unique reward system for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) who achieve excellence.

Under the initiative, the first 100 BLOs who complete 100% digitization of the voter lists in record time will be honored with a pilgrimage trip to the sacred site of Amarkantak. In addition, they will enjoy a movie outing with their families.

Incentivizing Efficiency
Dr. Kedar Singh, along with the District Election Officer, has linked motivation and recognition with performance in the SIR survey. The top-performing BLOs will not only complete mapping and full digitization of voter data but also gain the opportunity to visit holy sites such as the source of the Narmada River and Mai Ki Bagiya, among other scenic locations.

Previous Recognitions
This initiative follows previous recognition programs where BLOs achieving 100% digitization ahead of schedule were honored. Earlier awardees included Rajpal Yadav (Polling Station 224, Byohari), Dinesh Paroha (Polling Station 260, Byohari), Manelal Baiga, and Ramnarayan Kushwaha (Polling Station 132, Khannoudhi).

Collector Actively Monitoring Progress
Dr. Kedar Singh continues to monitor SIR survey progress across wards and booths, urging BLOs to achieve full digitization promptly. While rural areas of Shahdol have progressed well, urban regions still lag behind, making this initiative particularly impactful in encouraging timely completion.

Boosting Morale Through Recognition
BLOs expressed enthusiasm over the new incentive, noting that it is the first time they have been offered such high-quality rewards for exemplary performance. The combination of a sacred trip and a family movie outing has significantly motivated survey staff to achieve top performance in the digitization process.
