Seven Villagers Booked for Illegal Mosque Construction on Cemetery and Public Land in Sambhal

Sambhal, UP: The police in Sambhal have registered an FIR against seven villagers for illegally occupying cemetery and public land to construct a mosque. Authorities allege that false information was submitted to the Central Waqf Board to get the land declared as Waqf property. Preliminary investigations revealed the presence of one mosque, eleven houses, and farming activities over approximately 1,000 square meters of land.

The case originates from Kaserua village in the Nakhasa police station area. On January 9, the revenue administration team conducted a survey of government land in the village. Khatepal Khabar Hussain said that following the survey, the report was submitted to the Tehsildar of Sambhal. During the inspection:
