Mathura: A major controversy has erupted involving the security personnel of the renowned storyteller Aniruddhacharya Maharaj. According to reports, a shopkeeper near the Gauri Gopal Ashram in Vrindavan was allegedly dragged and beaten inside the ashram by the Maharaj’s guards. The victim’s family has leveled serious accusations against the spiritual leader.
Allegations by the Victim’s Family
Shopkeeper Vivek Kumar runs a small shop near the Gauri Gopal Ashram. His family claims that during broad daylight, security personnel forcibly dragged him from his shop into the ashram. Vivek’s daughter alleged that when her father resisted, the guards assaulted him brutally, causing severe injuries.
Hospital and Administrative Pressure Alleged
Following the attack, Vivek Kumar was taken to a hospital. However, his family alleges that even at the hospital, officials were influenced by pressure from the ashram. Vivek reportedly did not receive adequate treatment or necessary medication despite being admitted.
Family Demands Arrests
The victim’s family expressed outrage, claiming that the police have applied minor charges deliberately to protect the accused. Vivek’s wife stated that they demand strict action against the guards, whom they called “hooligans roaming under the guise of the ashram.”
Police Response and Investigation
The incident has sparked anger on social media, with images of the assault circulating widely. While Aniruddhacharya Maharaj has not yet issued an official statement, local police have taken the matter seriously and launched an investigation into the allegations.
