SBI Employee Ends Life After Domestic Dispute: Body Found on Tracks in Bhopal

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: In a tragic incident, 35-year-old Avinash Jain, an employee at the State Bank of India (SBI) in Bhopal, took his own life by lying on the railway tracks. Avinash, who worked as a clerk at the SBI branch in Maida Mill, was reportedly involved in a domestic dispute with his wife, Roli Jain, also an employee at the same branch. The dispute occurred at work, after which Avinash left the office and did not return home.

A Final Message to Loved Ones

Before taking the extreme step, Avinash sent a suicide note via WhatsApp to his father, brother, and wife. In the message, he stated, “I will never return, and I am responsible for my own death.” He further mentioned that upon his death, an insurance amount of ₹75 lakh should be given to his wife and two daughters, ₹5 lakh from his Provident Fund (PF) to his daughter Ruby, and ₹10 lakh to his brother Abhishek. After sending the message, he turned off his phone and went to the railway tracks. Tragically, by the time his family started searching for him, it was too late. His brother-in-law was the first to identify the body on the tracks.

Unanswered Questions and the Strain of Domestic Life

In his suicide note, Avinash mentioned his “mistakes,” leaving many questions unanswered. Authorities are now looking into whether tensions related to his marital life and in-laws played a significant role in pushing him toward such a drastic decision. Police are investigating the nature of the dispute that led Avinash, a seemingly happy individual, to end his life. A post-mortem, scheduled for Wednesday, along with statements from his family, is expected to shed light on the underlying reasons behind this tragic incident. The police are also questioning his in-laws to understand the circumstances surrounding his death.
