Sawariya Seth Donations Cross ₹40 Crore in Fifth Round; Gold and Silver Counting Yet to Come

Chittorgarh, Rajasthan: Devotees’ offerings at the world-famous Shri Sawaliya Ji Temple in Mandphiya, Chittorgarh, have shattered all previous records this year. After two months of accumulation, counting of the donations began, and the fifth round alone saw ₹4.19 crore added, taking the total cash collection past ₹40.33 crore. The counting of gold and silver donations is still pending.

Historic Donations Break Records
This year, devotees’ contributions have poured in with unprecedented enthusiasm, making the Sawaliya Seth temple a center of faith and generosity. In the first round of counting on 20 November, ₹12.35 crore was recorded. The second round added ₹8.54 crore, and the third round saw ₹7.08 crore counted. The fourth round contributed ₹8.15 crore, and the fifth round added ₹4.19 crore, taking the total cash donations beyond ₹40 crore. The temple management says the tally is still ongoing, and the final total including coins, small notes, and online donations could surpass ₹50 crore.

Gold and Silver Donations Yet to Be Counted
Temple officials emphasize that the current figure only includes cash donations. Devotees also donate gold and silver jewelry, coins, and sometimes even gold biscuits, which will be weighed and counted in the final tally. Once included, the overall value of offerings could set a new historic record for the temple.

Faith and Belief Drive Contributions
Devotees from across Mewar, India, and abroad consider Sawaliya Seth as the ‘God of Wealth’, believing that offerings made at the temple return doubled. This belief fuels the massive inflow of donations, especially during festivals like Diwali. The temple administration arranged the counting process in the Satsang Bhawan for the first time this year to ensure transparency and avoid disruption to devotees visiting the temple.

Meticulous Counting Process
All offerings are carefully separated, with cash counted first manually and then verified with machines. The process is closely monitored by CCTV cameras and police personnel to ensure complete security and accuracy.

Past Records Surpassed
Last year, the two-month counting post-Diwali recorded ₹34.91 crore in donations. This year’s cash donations alone have already crossed ₹40 crore, with gold and silver yet to be counted, signaling that this year could set an all-time record in the temple’s history.
