Satpal Maharaj Launches Poster of Film ‘Godaan,’ Says Movie Will Connect Youth with Culture

Dehradun: The soul of Sanatan Dharma resides in the sacred cow, Gau Mata, and in today’s fast-paced world, we are drifting away from our roots. Addressing this concern, Uttarakhand Tourism, Culture, and Religious Affairs Minister Satpal Maharaj launched the poster, teaser, and songs of the upcoming film ‘Godaan’ at his camp office on Subhash Road on Thursday. The film, produced under the banner of Kamdhenu International Production, highlights the importance of Gau Mata and the need to preserve her sanctity.

Congratulating the entire team, Maharaj said the Bollywood film industry is undergoing a transformative phase, moving beyond traditional and family-centric narratives. Filmmakers and directors are now exploring social issues, suspense, thrillers, and other unique themes, offering audiences fresh perspectives.

Film with a Message:
Directed by Vinod Chaudhary, Godaan aims to sensitize viewers to the significance of Indian culture and Sanatan Dharma through the lens of Gau Mata protection. The feature film is set to release in theaters nationwide on 6 February 2026. Maharaj emphasized that the film is not only intended for individuals but also serves as a powerful medium to reconnect the youth with their cultural and spiritual heritage.

He expressed hope that those involved in cow slaughter and related offenses will experience a transformation of heart after watching the film. Produced at a cost of ₹40 crore, the movie was shot across the valleys of Uttarakhand, Noida, Mathura, and Mumbai. Several real-life incidents have been woven into the storyline to make the narrative compelling.

Godaan is designed to be both entertaining and socially impactful, delivering a serious spiritual message while engaging audiences with a cinematic experience.
