Satna Police Arrest Youth for Spreading Fear on Social Media After Delhi Blast


Satna: In the wake of the recent car blast in Delhi, Satna police have heightened vigilance across the district. During this period, a fake video claiming terrorist activity in Satna went viral on social media, causing panic among residents. The Kolagwan police have arrested a 23-year-old youth in connection with the misleading post.

The Incident:
The accused, identified as Ravi Kumar Tiwari, posted a sensational claim on his Facebook story, asserting that “three terrorists are hiding in Satna” and suggesting that the next attack could target the city following the Delhi blast. The video was intended to create fear and confusion among the public.

Police Action:
Upon noticing the viral post, Kolagwan police promptly initiated a technical investigation to trace the source. The accused was quickly located and taken into custody.

Confession and FIR:
During questioning, Ravi Kumar Tiwari admitted to posting the misleading content. He resides opposite Hanuman Mandir in Bathiya Kala under Kolagwan police jurisdiction. An FIR has been registered against him under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for spreading fear and causing public alarm.

The police have appealed to citizens not to believe or share unverified information on social media, warning that such acts could be punishable under law.
