Sitamarhi & Sheohar, Bihar: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar continued his ambitious ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ today, bringing a host of developmental projects to Sitamarhi and Sheohar districts. Under the yatra, projects worth over ₹600 crore are being inaugurated and laid, aiming to accelerate growth and strengthen governance at the grassroots.

Focus on Infrastructure and Public Welfare

The ‘Samriddhi Yatra’ is designed to boost development in border regions by improving infrastructure and welfare programs. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is not only inaugurating new projects but also reviewing the progress of ongoing schemes with officials. Through direct public interaction sessions (‘Jan Samvad’), he is engaging with citizens to hear their concerns and feedback, ensuring that government initiatives address local needs effectively.

Sitamarhi Gets a Boost of ₹554 Crore

In Sitamarhi, CM Nitish announced a total of ₹554 crore for district development. Out of this, 41 new projects worth ₹346 crore will have their foundations laid, while 26 completed projects totaling ₹208.12 crore are being handed over to the public. These initiatives span multiple sectors, from infrastructure to social welfare, and mark a significant step toward regional development.

A Roadmap for Progress

Officials note that the Samriddhi Yatra serves a dual purpose: accelerating Bihar’s development agenda and fostering a direct connection between the government and its citizens. The projects inaugurated today reflect the administration’s commitment to transparency, efficiency, and inclusive growth, particularly in regions that have historically received less focus.
