Jodhpur: The mysterious death of renowned storyteller Sadhvi Prem Baisa from western Rajasthan has sent shockwaves across the state. The case took a puzzling turn when, despite her reported death in the evening, a post appeared on her official Instagram account at night referencing an “Agni Pareeksha” (trial by fire). The incident has now escalated into a political issue, with RLP chief Hanuman Beniwal demanding a high-level investigation.

Beniwal Calls for Truth

Taking to social media platform X, Beniwal wrote:
“The news of Sadhvi Prem Baisa’s death under suspicious circumstances in a Jodhpur hospital is extremely disturbing. The Chief Minister and DGP must immediately take cognizance and ensure a high-level investigation.”

This public demand has increased pressure on the police and administrative authorities to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.

Digital Suicide Note Raises Questions

The most perplexing element in the case is the timing of the Instagram post. According to hospital sources, Sadhvi Prem Baisa passed away around 5:30 PM, yet a lengthy post appeared on her account at 9:28 PM. The post mentioned her lifelong dedication to Sanatan Dharma and referenced an Agni Pareeksha, sparking speculation: if she had already passed away in the evening, who uploaded the post? Was it scheduled in advance, or did someone else share it?

Hospital Account and Investigations

Dr. Praveen Jain of Preksha Hospital stated that Sadhvi Prem Baisa’s father brought her to the hospital complaining of fever. Nursing staff at the ashram had administered an injection prior to the deterioration of her condition. Notably, although the hospital offered an ambulance for transferring the body, her father opted to transport the body in a private vehicle.

According to ACP (West) Chhavi Sharma, the police are investigating all angles, including the timing of death, the social media post, and any other suspicious circumstances surrounding the case.
