Rohit Pawar Levels Serious Allegations Over Ajit Pawar’s Plane Crash, Demands Aviation Minister’s Removal

Pune: NCP (SP) leader Rohit Pawar has raised serious concerns regarding the plane crash involving Ajit Pawar. He alleged that several TDP leaders have close ties with the aviation company VSR and demanded the removal of Union Civil Aviation Minister Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu until the investigation is complete.

Alleged Close Ties Between VSR and Political Leaders
Rohit Pawar claimed that VSR owner Rohit Singh maintains strong relationships with numerous political figures, not only in Maharashtra but also with leaders from the TDP. He noted that several politicians had even attended Rohit Singh’s wedding. Pawar questioned the statements of the Aviation Minister, who is from the TGP, asserting that the aircraft had no issues, and demanded accountability. He further alleged that certain individuals within VSR are in collusion with government officials.

Allegations of Document Tampering and Escape Abroad
Rohit Pawar claimed that deliberate efforts were made to assist and protect VSR. He alleged tampering in VSR documents and raised concerns that Rohit Singh was allowed to leave the country before the investigation concluded; Singh is reportedly in the United States.

Excess Fuel and Pilot Concerns
Pawar alleged that the Learjet aircraft’s senior pilot had personal issues and could have been blackmailed. He further claimed that the plane carried excess fuel on its flight from Mumbai to Baramati, suggesting that this was done illegally and possibly to facilitate the crash. He also raised the possibility of a financial motive, noting that the aircraft was valued at ₹35 crore but insured for ₹210 crore.

Questions Over Black Box Findings
Pawar challenged the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau’s claim that the black box was damaged. He pointed out that the black box, located in the rear of the aircraft, is designed to withstand temperatures of up to 1,100°C, and no fire damage was observed. He questioned how the black box could be declared damaged under these conditions.

Rohit Pawar’s statements have added a political dimension to the investigation, calling for stricter scrutiny of VSR’s operations and potential conflicts of interest until the probe is fully completed.
