Rohini Acharya Alleges Betrayal from Within: “A Legacy Built with Great Effort Destroyed by Our Own”

Patna, Bihar: The internal rift within the family and party of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has now become fully public. Rohini Acharya, daughter of Lalu Prasad Yadav, recently triggered political waves in Bihar with a pointed social media post targeting associates of her brother, Tejashwi Yadav.

“Own People Often Cause More Harm Than Outsiders”
Rohini Acharya commented on the alleged political turmoil within the party and family, stating that destroying a significant legacy does not require outsiders; often, it is the ‘own people’ and a few conspirators among them who do the most damage. She noted that the very people responsible for building and sustaining a legacy often become the ones undermining it.

In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), she wrote:
“To destroy a ‘great legacy’ painstakingly built with effort and dedication, outsiders are not needed. ‘One’s own’ and a few scheming insiders are enough. What surprises me most is when the very people responsible for your identity and existence become ready to erase and obliterate those marks under delusion.”

She added, “When wisdom is overshadowed by arrogance, the destructive elements take over, leaving reason and discretion powerless.”

Previous Accusations After RJD’s Electoral Defeat
Following RJD’s significant defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections, Rohini had previously made serious allegations against her brother Tejashwi Yadav and his supporters, even announcing her intention to leave politics and distance herself from the family. She described being publicly humiliated, including having slippers thrown at her, and said she faced disgrace despite never compromising her self-respect or truth.

In her X post, she further shared:
“A daughter, a sister, a married woman, and a mother was humiliated, verbally abused, and threatened. I suffered this indignity without ever compromising my dignity or commitment to truth. I was forced to leave my crying parents and sisters behind, my parental home was taken from me, and I was left orphaned. May no one else walk my path, and may no family ever produce a daughter or sister like Rohini.”

Rohini’s candid posts have brought the internal family and political conflicts of the RJD into sharp public focus, stirring debates in Bihar’s political circles.
