
Celebrated Vrindavan-based bhajan singer and kathavachak (storyteller) Indresh Upadhyay is all set to begin a new chapter in his life with his wedding to Shipra from Haryana on 5th December at a five-star hotel in Jaipur. The ceremony is scheduled from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and preparations are already underway.
A Spiritual Prodigy
Even as a child engrossed in play and sports, Indresh memorized the entire Bhagavad Gita by the age of 13, showcasing his early devotion and mastery. His spiritual performances have garnered a massive following among the Gen Z audience, with 1.9 million followers on Instagram and over 1.33 million subscribers on his YouTube channel ‘Bhakti Path’. His income primarily comes from bhajan singing, kathavachan, and online spiritual courses organized by the Bhakti Path organization.
Legacy and Guidance
Indresh Upadhyay is the son of renowned kathavachak Krishna Chand Shastri Thakur and Narvada Sharma. He is the only brother among three sisters. His father, Krishna Chand Shastri Thakur, was his first guru, instilling in him a deep knowledge of scriptures and the art of storytelling. Indresh was born on 7th August 1997 in Vrindavan Dham and resides in Ramanreti, Vrindavan.
Family Ties and Wedding Details
Shipra’s family hails from Yamunanagar, Haryana, with her father Harendra Sharma, a former DSP. The families have known each other for a long time. The wedding, blending spiritual legacy with modern celebration, is set to draw attention from Indresh’s vast following and the spiritual community alike.
