Rehan Vadra, Fiance of Aviva Beg, Schooled in Dehradun, Deep Gandhi Family Connection

Dehradun: Amid the buzz around his engagement to Aviva Beg, Rehan Vadra’s alma mater, the prestigious Doon School in Dehradun, has once again come into the spotlight. Rehan completed his schooling at this iconic institution before pursuing higher studies in London.

Early Education and Doon School Admission
Rehan Vadra began his early education at The Shri Ram School in Gurgaon. At the age of 12, he was admitted to Doon School, continuing the family’s long-standing tradition. His mother, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, personally oversaw the admission process in November 2012, accompanying Rehan and his sister Miraya to the school for registration and entrance exams. After successfully clearing the exams, Rehan joined the school and later moved to London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) for higher education in political studies.

Continuing Family Legacy
Rehan’s enrollment at Doon School carried forward the family tradition, as the institution has historic ties with the Gandhi family. Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and his brother Sanjay Gandhi studied there, as did Rahul Gandhi, Rehan’s maternal uncle. Notably, Rahul Gandhi was withdrawn from the school following the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1984.

Career as a Visual Artist and Curator
Rehan Vadra has carved a distinct path for himself as a visual artist. Capturing the world through his lens since the age of 10, his portfolio spans wildlife, street, and commercial photography. He has held exhibitions across major Indian cities and worked as a curator for various art shows. His work combines visual art with installation, offering viewers diverse perspectives on life and society.

Co-Founder of an Independent Art Collective
Rehan is also the co-founder of the independent art collective “You Cannot Miss This,” which provides a platform for multimedia artists. The collective’s debut show took place in February 2023 as part of the India Art Fair’s Young Collectors Program, followed by a second exhibition in Mumbai at the Method Art Gallery in Juhu.

Engagement to Aviva Beg
Rehan Vadra has recently become engaged to Aviva Beg, with whom he has been in a relationship for seven years. The union has the approval of both families. Aviva, a Delhi resident, shares close ties with the Vadra family. The engagement was celebrated with a symbolic ring exchange, marking a new chapter in their relationship.
