Banda: During his one-day visit to Banda district in Uttar Pradesh, Peethadheeshwar of Bageshwar Dham, Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, delivered a strong message to the Hindu community, urging them to focus on self-reform rather than targeting other communities. The event, held at the residence of BJP Sadar MLA Prakash Dwivedi, drew thousands of devotees.
Message to Hindus
Shastri emphasized that calling names or blaming Muslims will not make India a Hindu nation. “Hindus must first address their own shortcomings, weaknesses, and social flaws. Only then can the idea of a Hindu nation be realized,” he said.
He also highlighted the importance of mutual respect and adherence to the law, noting that maintaining social harmony requires following legal procedures rather than taking shortcuts. Without naming any community, Shastri compared religious practices, pointing out differences in divorce laws and stressing the need for everyone to act within the law to preserve peace.
Faith, Family, and Devotion
Speaking on faith and spirituality, Shastri urged devotees to have complete trust in God, warning against partial or selective belief. “One should not alternate faith between places or complain that God is not blessing them. True devotion never falters,” he said.
Shastri added that his role is to guide people, while God handles destiny. “Leave everything to the Almighty and seek God himself, rather than material things,” he remarked.
This was Shastri’s second visit to Banda in the past ten days, generating tremendous enthusiasm among the local population and drawing large crowds, making the event memorable.
