Faridabad/Delhi: Following the terror attack at Delhi’s Red Fort, investigative agencies have turned their attention to Al Falah University in Faridabad. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is now actively investigating the university’s potential links to the attack. Authorities have discovered a fourth vehicle, a Brezza registered in the name of Dr. Shaheen, inside the university campus.
Previously, a Swift car belonging to Dr. Mujammil had been recovered, which was also connected to Dr. Shaheen. Her involvement led to her arrest.
What Was Found in Shaheen’s Car?
During searches, Jammu and Kashmir police recovered an AK-47 rifle, a pistol, and ammunition from Shaheen’s vehicle. These items were connected to the Red Fort terrorist attack. Investigators are probing how Al Falah University is linked to this attack and whether the campus served as a base for planning or logistics.
ED Intensifies Scrutiny on Al Falah University
Central investigative agencies are examining the case in depth. The involvement of the ED indicates that the probe extends beyond terrorism to possible financial irregularities. Every aspect of the university’s operations is being thoroughly scrutinized.
Fundraising for Explosives
Sources revealed that the doctors arrested under the “white-collar terrorist module” had collected over ₹26 lakh to purchase materials used in the Red Fort blast. Four suspects—Dr. Mujammil Ganai, Dr. Adil Ahmad Rather, Dr. Shaheen Saeed, and Dr. Umar Nabi—pooled the cash and handed it to Dr. Umar for safekeeping and operational use.
Dr. Umar, an assistant professor from Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir, was driving an i20 car near the Red Fort during the explosion. Investigators believe the funds were part of a larger terror operation, which included the purchase of approximately 26 quintals of NPK fertilizer worth around ₹3 lakh from Gurugram, Nuh, and nearby towns.
The investigation continues to unfold, and authorities are working to determine the full extent of the university’s and the suspects’ involvement in this terror plot.
