Rape Accused Nabbed in Disguise from Vrindavan; Police Parade Held in Dholpur

Dholpur, Rajasthan:
In a major police operation, Dholpur Kotwali police have arrested a criminal wanted for rape of a minor, who carried a ₹10,000 bounty on his head. The accused, Rajendra Singh Sisodia, had been evading law enforcement since the crime and was found hiding in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, disguised as a woman, wearing a burqa and lipstick. Following his arrest, police paraded him from the Kotwali police station to the court.

Crime Committed Under the Pretext of Employment

The incident occurred on December 15, when the accused allegedly lured a minor girl with the promise of a job and called her to his home. She arrived with her younger brother. The accused sent the brother outside under the pretext of making photocopies of documents and then committed the crime. The girl managed to escape and raise an alarm, drawing local residents to the scene.

Fled Amid Public Outrage

After the incident, tension erupted in the locality. Family members of the accused reportedly arrived to protect him, but the angry crowd assaulted them. The police reached the scene to restore order, but the accused managed to flee on a motorcycle.

Caught After Intensive Search

Superintendent of Police Vikas Sangwan stated that multiple police teams were deployed to track the accused. More than 100 CCTV cameras were reviewed during the operation. A tip-off received by Head Constable Manoj Kumar led the police to the accused’s hiding place in Vrindavan, where he was apprehended in disguise.

Further Investigation Underway

Police confirmed that the accused was previously employed with the Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC) but had been dismissed. He is currently in custody and being interrogated. Authorities have assured that a thorough investigation is underway to examine all aspects of the case, and legal proceedings will follow strictly according to law.
