Rajgarh MP Touches Officer’s Feet in Protest Over Delayed Program

Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh: In a dramatic protest during a government program under the Jal Jeevan Mission, Rajgarh MP Rodmal Nagar reportedly touched the feet of officials who arrived late, expressing his frustration over the delay. The incident, which has gone viral on social media, occurred at a water supply event in Kundibeh village.

Delay Sparks MP’s Protest
MP Rodmal Nagar and MLA Amarsingh Yadav arrived at the event on time, but senior officials from the Jal Jeevan Mission, including Additional Secretary Kamal Kishore Som, Managing Director of Jal Nigam KVS Chaudhary, and other administrative personnel, arrived late. The delay of approximately one and a half hours angered the MP, who descended from the stage and touched the officials’ feet to convey his displeasure.

Speaking to the media, the MP said, “They made us wait like fools for one and a half hours. Organizing events alone is not enough; work on the ground must be prioritized.” Observers at the program were visibly surprised by his actions.

Clarifying His Intentions
When asked about the incident, MP Nagar clarified that his anger was not directed at any individual officer but was aimed at delays in implementing the Jal Jeevan Mission project. He emphasized the importance of timely execution, particularly in projects like supplying 24-hour clean water to villages, including Kundibeh and 24 others.

Kundibeh Sets an Example
With the inauguration of water supply at Kundibeh, the village has become a national example for achieving 24-hour clean water access. The MP’s words and the widely circulated video of the incident have sparked discussions across administrative and political circles about accountability and punctuality in public projects.
