Rajasthan Weather Today: 10 Cities See Temperatures Drop Below 10°C, Cold Wave Persists


Jaipur: The chill is tightening its grip across Rajasthan as cold winds continue to bring a biting winter effect. According to the latest updates, temperatures in 10 cities have dropped below 10°C, and meteorologists predict the cold will gradually intensify over the coming days.

Cold Wave Continues Across the State

Despite the sun shining during the day, northern cold winds have kept the mornings and evenings particularly chilly. Compared to Saturday, Sunday’s temperatures showed little change. The weather department expects dry conditions to persist in the coming days, with minimum temperatures likely to fall by 2–3°C, increasing the impact of the cold wave.

10 Cities Record Minimum Temperatures Below 10°C

The Jaipur weather center reported that Sikar and Fatehpur experienced the coldest nights, recording minimum temperatures of 7.5°C and 7.7°C, respectively. Along with these, cities including Nagaur, Lunkaransar, Dausa, Sirohi, Alwar, Karauli, Churu, and Vanstali also saw minimum temperatures fall below 10°C.

Sunlight Offers Little Relief

Even during daytime, when the sun appeared in several cities, the cold winds prevented any significant warming. Jaipur recorded a daytime high of 29°C, remaining stable, while minor fluctuations were observed in other cities. Overall, the minimum temperatures across Rajasthan are below the seasonal average, with Ajmer at 10.4°C, Sikar 6.6°C below normal, and most northern and western regions experiencing a significant chill.

  • Kota: 15.0°C

Meteorologists advise residents to take precautions against the cold, especially during early mornings and late evenings, as the winter chill is expected to strengthen gradually in the coming days.
