Rajasthan Experiences Sharp Drop in Temperature: Rain in Four Districts, Five Cities Below 15°C

Jaipur, Rajasthan: Rajasthan is witnessing a significant fall in temperatures as rainfall lashes parts of the state. Cities including Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, and Jhunjhunu received rain, leading to a sharp dip in temperatures, with five cities recording below 15°C. Nagaur witnessed the steepest drop in temperature.

Weather Update Across the State
The Western Disturbance affecting northern Rajasthan has caused sudden rain in Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, and Jhunjhunu districts, bringing a notable chill in the state. On Wednesday, temperatures in five cities fell below 15°C, with Nagaur dropping to 12.7°C. According to the Meteorological Department, the cold effect is expected to intensify in the coming days as the northern and northwestern regions experience further weather changes.

11 Cities Record Below 16°C
Wednesday saw 11 cities in Rajasthan recording temperatures below 16°C:

  • Lunkaransar (Bikaner): 11.9°C
  • Nagaur: 12.7°C
  • Fatehpur (Sikar): 13.3°C
  • Sirohi: 13.6°C
  • Churu: 14.4°C
  • Dabok (Udaipur): 15.4°C
  • Jaisalmer: 15.5°C
  • Alwar: 15.6°C
  • Pilani (Jhunjhunu): 15.6°C
  • Jhunjhunu: 15.6°C
  • Sri Ganganagar: 15.9°C

Among these, Lunkaransar recorded the lowest temperature at 11.9°C, making it the coldest place in the state. Nagaur followed closely at 12.7°C. Other cities across Rajasthan also experienced a drop, with Jaipur recording 20.1°C and Dungarpur at 20.4°C.

The Meteorological Department has advised residents to brace for colder days ahead as the winter chill deepens across the state.
