Drone Intrusion from Across the Border! BSF Seizes Heroin Worth ₹2.5 Crore Near India-Pak Border — Search Operation Intensified

Srikaranpur (Rajasthan): In yet another shocking instance of cross-border drug smuggling, the Border Security Force (BSF) has recovered a consignment of heroin worth approximately ₹2.5 crore near the India-Pakistan border in Srikaranpur sector. The contraband, weighing around half a kilogram, was reportedly dropped into Indian territory by a Pakistani drone.

Drone Drops ‘Poison’ from Pakistan

Acting on intelligence inputs received by the BSF’s G-Branch (Intelligence Wing), a special team launched a search operation near the Anand Sar Border Outpost (BOP) in village 23-O. During the operation, the team discovered a suspicious yellow packet concealed in a farm field. Initial investigation confirmed that Pakistani smugglers used a drone to deliver the narcotics into Indian territory, setting GPS coordinates to drop the packet under the cover of darkness.

This method reflects a growing trend in cross-border smuggling — drones carrying narcotics, arms, and explosives into India. Officials revealed that just days ago, another similar packet of heroin was recovered from the same area, suggesting that the Srikaranpur route has now become an active corridor for Pakistani traffickers.

BSF on High Alert, Intensive Search Underway

The operation was initiated after a local farmer spotted the suspicious packet in his field and promptly informed the BSF. Following the recovery, the BSF, in coordination with local police, launched a massive search operation to locate any additional drops or accomplices connected to the consignment.

Security agencies have heightened surveillance across border villages and urged locals to immediately report any unusual drone activity or presence of suspicious persons. Authorities believe that such repeated incidents point to an organized cross-border network attempting to infiltrate Indian territory using advanced drone technology.

Tightened Security Measures Along the Border

Given the recurring attempts at smuggling through unmanned aerial routes, the BSF has ramped up night surveillance, drone-detection systems, and patrolling frequency across the western frontier.
Officials emphasized that these efforts aim to ensure that “not a single gram of this poison crosses into Indian society.”
