Sikar, Rajasthan: Following the shocking car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, security agencies across the country have been placed on high alert, and Rajasthan has tightened vigilance at major public places, including the renowned Khatu Shyamji Temple.
According to reports, as news of the Delhi explosion reached Sikar, temple authorities immediately suspended night-time darshan, instructing all devotees standing in queues to exit the premises. The temple corridors were quickly cleared. By Tuesday morning, darshan resumed, but entry is now strictly regulated with enhanced security checks.
Enhanced Security Measures Implemented
Security at the Khatu Shyamji temple has been significantly strengthened. The entire temple area has been declared a no-vehicle zone, and all entrances are equipped with hand-held metal detectors. Devotees are no longer allowed to carry bags into the temple; shops inside the premises have been instructed to store bags safely after inspection. Any violation will result in immediate action.
Regular Patrolling and Surveillance Intensified
Police have increased continuous patrolling and surveillance in and around the temple following the Delhi blast. Teams are monitoring the area closely to prevent any untoward incidents.
Precautions at Other Religious Sites
In Jhunjhunu, security at the Rani Sati Dadi Temple has also been heightened ahead of the upcoming Janmotsav celebrations on 13 November, which will attract thousands of devotees. Authorities are maintaining strict oversight of visitors entering and leaving the premises.
Railway Stations and Bus Stands on High Alert
The GRP and RPF are conducting thorough searches at Jhunjhunu and Sikar railway stations, questioning suspicious passengers and inspecting unattended luggage. Surrounding areas, including hotels, parking lots, and street stalls, are under close watch. Police personnel are maintaining vigilance at crowded locations to ensure public safety.
Authorities have clarified that no lapses in security will be tolerated. Any suspicious activity will be acted upon immediately. While Shekhawati remains on full alert, the situation is under control. Devotees are urged to cooperate with security arrangements and avoid spreading or acting on rumors.
