Delhi Blast Sparks High Alert in Rajasthan Border Districts; Weapons Supply Link Revealed via Drones

Jaipur: Following the devastating car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday evening, security agencies across India are on high alert. Investigations have revealed a potential connection to Rajasthan’s border districts, prompting heightened security in Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Barmer, and Sri Ganganagar.

Intelligence Findings:
During interrogation of the four arrested suspects—including three Kashmiri doctors and one female doctor—authorities discovered that weapons used in terrorist activities were being supplied from Rajasthan’s border regions. Sources confirmed that Pakistan allegedly dropped weapons via drones in Hanumangarh, which were then distributed to other parts of the country.

Arrests and Weapons Recovery:
The four suspects apprehended so far are:

  • Dr. Mujammil Shakeel
  • Dr. Adil Ahmad Dar
  • Dr. Umar Mohammed
  • Dr. Shaheen Shahid

During the interrogation of Dr. Mujammil and Dr. Adil, police recovered a large cache of explosives and firearms, including:

  • Approximately 360 kg of ammonium nitrate
  • One Swift car containing an AK-47 assault rifle, three magazines, and 83 rounds of ammunition
  • One pistol, two pistol magazines, and two empty cartridges

Authorities revealed that Dr. Mujammil had rented a room in Dhoj area, where explosives were stored and supplied just 15 days prior to the blast.

Rajasthan on High Alert:
Following the revelations, Rajasthan police under SP Narendra Singh Meena launched intensive checks at railway stations and other public areas in Barmer and neighboring districts. Security personnel are closely monitoring travelers, inspecting luggage, and maintaining strict surveillance to prevent any potential threats.

Official Statement:
Faridabad Police Commissioner Satyendra Kumar disclosed during a press briefing that the weapons supply chain traced to Rajasthan’s border districts was part of a larger network. Authorities are investigating the drone-assisted smuggling from Pakistan into Hanumangarh and its distribution across India.

National Security Implications:
The Delhi Red Fort blast, which killed nine and injured over 19 people, along with the seizure of explosives and firearms, has underscored the cross-border threat and organized terrorist networks operating in northern India. Security agencies remain vigilant in all border districts and urban centers to avert further attacks.
