12-Year-Old Girl Narrowly Escapes Death at Gangapur City Junction, Rajasthan Police Constable Becomes Hero

Gangapur City Junction in Rajasthan witnessed an extraordinary act of bravery when a 12-year-old girl nearly fell between a train and the platform. The incident occurred as the girl was boarding the Dehradun Express, but thanks to the quick reflexes of on-duty Constable Ramkesh Meena, a major tragedy was averted. The entire daring rescue was captured on CCTV.

The Incident
On 25 January, the 12-year-old girl, identified as Aaradhya, attempted to board coach S-1 of train number 19019, the Dehradun Express, as it began to depart. Suddenly, she slipped and started to fall into the dangerous gap between the moving train and the platform. Passengers on the platform were thrown into panic as screams echoed across the station.

A Heroic Rescue
Constable Ramkesh Meena, who was on duty at the station, immediately noticed the girl in danger. Without a moment’s hesitation and putting his own life at risk, he sprinted towards the moving train. With remarkable agility and determination, he grabbed the girl’s hand and pulled her safely back onto the platform. During the rescue, Constable Meena himself stumbled but never let go of Aaradhya’s hand.

The CCTV footage of the incident, which has now gone viral on social media, clearly shows that even a few seconds’ delay could have resulted in a disaster.

Aftermath
Aaradhya is safe and unharmed, while Constable Meena sustained minor injuries. His courage and quick thinking have earned widespread admiration, with many hailing him as a true hero.
