On 31 December, northern Haryana and adjoining regions are witnessing circulation patterns due to the Western Disturbance. Its influence is likely to cause light rain and thunderstorms in parts of Rajasthan, including Bikaner, Jodhpur, Ajmer, and the Shekhawati region. This will lead to a fall in temperatures, intensifying the cold wave in the state.
District-wise Forecast:
- 31 December: Bikaner, Jodhpur, Ajmer, and some districts in Shekhawati may see light rain with thunder and lightning.
- 1 January: The weather effect will continue, with light showers and possible thunderstorms in Bikaner, Jaipur, and parts of Bharatpur divisions.
- 2 January onwards: Dry conditions are expected to resume.
Dense Fog Alert:
Northern, western, and eastern parts of Rajasthan are likely to experience dense fog from 1 to 3 January. Extremely dense fog in some areas may reduce visibility, potentially affecting road and rail traffic.
Cold Wave Warning in Shekhawati:
