Jaipur: Rajasthan is experiencing fluctuating temperatures as winter sets in, with daytime warmth giving way to chilly evenings. While many districts are witnessing rising daytime temperatures, others are seeing a drop. The strong sun during the day reduces the feeling of cold, but by evening, a light chill is felt. Northern winds have weakened, keeping the cold relatively mild for now.
Cold Wave Alert in Shekhawati Region
The Jaipur Meteorological Centre has issued a cold wave alert for the Shekhawati region, including Sikar and Jhunjhunu, effective 3–4 December. Residents are advised to take precautions during the night, as the cold will be more pronounced after sunset. The alert is temporary, and the weather is expected to clear after 4 December.
Expected Temperature Drop Across the State
Meteorologists also predict a further dip of 3–4°C in Rajasthan’s temperatures during the first week of December, which may intensify the cold wave in affected districts.
