A fresh controversy has erupted over recruitment examinations conducted by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSMSSB), with unemployed youth alleging serious irregularities in both the Fourth Grade employee recruitment results and the Third Grade teacher recruitment examination.
Candidates have raised objections to the unusually high cut-off marks announced for the Fourth Grade recruitment exam, claiming that the cut-off has increased almost twofold compared to expectations. According to protesters, this has resulted in a large number of deserving candidates being unfairly excluded from the selection process.
Allegations Over Teacher Recruitment Questions
The controversy has further intensified with allegations related to the Third Grade teacher recruitment examination. Protesters claim that more than 50 questions asked in the Level I and Level II teacher exams were identical to questions available on a mobile application named “Edu Spot – Seeker.” Screenshots allegedly showing an exact match between the exam questions and the app’s content surfaced on social media on Monday, fuelling widespread outrage.
Unemployed Youth Protest in Mahesh Nagar
Angered by the developments, unemployed candidates gathered in large numbers in Jaipur’s Mahesh Nagar area to stage a protest. The demonstration was led by Manoj Meena, State President of the Rajasthan Yuva Shakti Ekikrit Mahasangh. Addressing the protesters, Meena said that questions have repeatedly been raised about the functioning of the Staff Selection Board, but authorities have failed to provide satisfactory explanations.
He warned that if the board does not initiate a hearing or inquiry into the allegations within five days, a large-scale statewide agitation would be launched.
Demand for Fair Investigation
Protesters alleged that “backdoor practices” were being followed in recruitment processes and transparency was being compromised. They demanded an impartial, high-level investigation into both the alleged question paper overlap and the sharp rise in cut-off marks. According to them, the abnormal cut-off has created serious doubts about the fairness of the recruitment process and has caused injustice to thousands of candidates.
Board Rejects Allegations
Responding to the accusations, RSMSSB Chairman Alok Raj categorically denied all claims. He stated that the recruitment examinations were conducted with complete transparency and that the results and question papers were prepared following due process.
“All allegations regarding question papers and examination results are baseless. The board has maintained full transparency, and no irregularities have taken place,” Alok Raj said.
App Had Faced Questions Earlier Too
Protest leaders also pointed out that the same mobile application had been under scrutiny during the previous Congress government as well, and similar concerns were raised at that time. They argued that the re-emergence of such allegations is alarming and warrants serious attention.
The protesters have made it clear that their agitation will continue until all doubts are addressed and accountability is fixed. As the controversy grows, pressure is mounting on the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board to ensure credibility and restore public trust in the recruitment system.
