Rajasthan Selection Board Scandal: SOG Probes ‘Photo-Editing’ Controversy, Raises Questions on Contract Awarded to Blacklisted Firm

Jaipur: In a shocking development that threatens the future of millions of job aspirants, Rajasthan’s Special Operations Group (SOG) has launched an investigation into alleged manipulation of recruitment examinations conducted by the Rajasthan Selection Board (RSSB). The probe focuses on how Rabhav Limited, a company previously blacklisted in Uttar Pradesh for exam fraud, was entrusted with scanning and evaluating answer sheets for major government recruitments in Rajasthan.

OMR Sheet Manipulation and Photo-Editing Allegations
Investigations revealed that in 2019, Rabhav Limited was awarded the contract to scan OMR sheets for key positions such as Supervisors, Laboratory Assistants, and Agricultural Supervisors. Allegedly, the company misused technology to manipulate scanned answer sheets, using photo-editing techniques to inflate marks for selected candidates, sparking outrage among applicants and raising serious concerns over the credibility of the board’s recruitment process.

Blacklisted Yet Contracted?
What has stunned observers is that Rabhav Limited was already under scrutiny in Uttar Pradesh for similar malpractice, including a case where an official’s spouse was reportedly favoured during recruitment. The SOG is now probing whether Rajasthan board officials were aware of the company’s tainted past or whether internal complicity allowed the firm to secure the contract despite its blacklisted status.

High-Profile Arrests Indicate Deep Corruption
In a major breakthrough, SOG has arrested Sanjay Mathur, the technical head of RSSB, Praveen Gangwal, a programmer, employees of Rabhav Limited, and a beneficiary candidate. Officials say the arrests point to deep-rooted corruption and suggest that the manipulation may have benefitted insiders and select candidates at the expense of millions of job seekers across Rajasthan.

The investigation is ongoing, and the public now awaits the SOG’s findings to uncover the masterminds behind this recruitment scandal. For Rajasthan’s unemployed youth, the revelations are a stark reminder of the urgent need for transparency and accountability in the recruitment process.
