
Pratapgarh, Rajasthan: In a major breakthrough, Rajasthan Police, under Operation Chakravyuh, arrested three drug traffickers in Pratapgarh district and seized 1.203 kg of MD drugs, valued at over ₹1.25 crore in the international market. One suspect remains at large.
Successful Sting Operation
Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police B. Aditya and supervision of Additional SP Gajendra Singh, a joint team of Dholapani Police and the District Special Team (DST) conducted a checkpoint near Barol Ghate. When two suspects, Shahrukh Khan and Dilawar Khan, riding a Madhya Pradesh-registered motorcycle, spotted the police, they attempted to flee. However, police quickly intercepted them.
During questioning, they failed to provide satisfactory explanations. Meanwhile, another suspect on an Apache motorcycle tried to escape into the nearby forest. The rider, Rahim Khan, was caught, while his accomplice, Safiullah, fled into the woods. A search revealed 1.203 kg of MD drugs hidden under Rahim Khan’s T-shirt, which were confiscated on the spot.
Investigation Reveals Trafficking Plot
Interrogation indicated that Dilawar and Shahrukh were monitoring police movements and attempting to secure the drug consignment through a scouting mission. The police arrested all three suspects and seized both motorcycles used for transportation. All accused hail from Hathuniya police station area.
The operation was carried out with significant contributions from Dholapani Station Officer Praveen Kumar, Sub-Inspector Bhanwar Singh, and the DST team, especially Constables Vinod, Pankaj, and Ramesh from the Cyber Cell. Authorities are actively searching for the absconding suspect Safiullah and investigating the source and intended distribution network of the drug consignment.
