Jaipur/Bhilwara, Rajasthan: Rajasthan Police acted swiftly to prevent two potential tragedies in Jaipur and Bhilwara. In Jaipur, a drunken man abducted a three-month-old infant outside Sanganer Railway Station, but the child was rescued within hours following the arrest of the kidnapper. Meanwhile, in Bhilwara, two minor girls forced to work at a spa center were rescued by the police.
Child Kidnapping Incident in Jaipur
The kidnapping occurred on 29 November, when a nomadic family’s three-month-old baby was abducted by a man under the influence of alcohol. The child’s mother raised an alarm, prompting the GRP police to register a case. CCTV footage revealed the suspect carrying the baby. By the morning of 30 November, the GRP police arrested the accused, Akash Bairwa.
Bairwa, who was heavily intoxicated at the time of the crime, later claimed he found the baby crying on the road while returning from Tonk and took him home. The next morning, he presented the child at Muhana Police Station, continuing to lie about the abduction. However, the police verified the child’s identity and exposed his false statements, leading to his arrest.
Rescue of Minors in Bhilwara
In a separate operation, police in Bhilwara received a complaint regarding a spa center in the Kotwali area where two minor girls were being exploited for labor. A team led by Trainee IPS officer and CO Sadar, Madhav Upadhyay, conducted a raid and rescued the girls, both residents of Delhi. Their families were notified and brought to Bhilwara.
Police have registered a case against the spa center operators, Hemant Lalwani and Neha Lalwani, while Shivam Rajput, who brought the minors from Delhi, has also been named in the FIR. The investigation is ongoing.
