Rajasthan Liquor Shop Renewal Process Begins for 2026-27: Apply Online by February 11, Here’s the Complete Procedure

Jaipur: The Rajasthan Excise Department has officially initiated the liquor shop license renewal process for the financial year 2026-27. As per the latest notification, the renewal procedure has begun for a total of 7,665 liquor shops operating across the state.

The department has also released detailed guidelines related to the application process, fees, cluster-based renewal system, and security deposit requirements.

Online Application Mandatory Till February 11

The Excise Department has directed all existing license holders to submit their renewal applications online within the stipulated deadline.

Applicants must complete the process along with the prescribed fee before midnight of February 11. Officials have clarified that applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered under any circumstances.

Application Fee Up to ₹1.20 Lakh

According to the department’s notification, the renewal fee depends on the minimum reserved price of the liquor shop.

  • For shops with a minimum reserved price up to ₹2 crore, the renewal fee has been fixed at ₹60,000.
  • For shops with a minimum reserved price above ₹2 crore, applicants will be required to pay ₹1.20 lakh as the renewal application fee.

Security Deposit Must Be Paid by February 28

In addition to the renewal fee, license holders must deposit a security amount equal to 8% of the annual guarantee amount.

This security deposit must be submitted by February 28, failing which the renewal process may be affected.

The department stated that timely completion of all formalities will ensure a smooth renewal process for license holders.

No Renewal Means Shop Will Be Considered Closed

Officials warned that if a license holder fails to select the renewal option or does not complete the required process, the application will be rejected.

In such cases, the deposited amount will be adjusted as per rules. Therefore, applicants have been advised to carefully fill out the form and select all options correctly.

Renewal to Be Conducted Through Cluster System

This year, the renewal process is being carried out under a cluster-based system. Under this model, license holders within a particular cluster will first be given the opportunity to renew their existing liquor shops.

Opportunity for New Allotment Within the Same Cluster

The department also stated that if any shop operator in a cluster chooses not to renew, other license holders within the same cluster may be allowed to apply for those shops. This step is aimed at maintaining continuity in liquor shop operations and preventing disruption in business.
