Jaipur/Kota/Bhilwara/Bhiwadi: As winter grips Rajasthan, residents are now confronting a dangerous surge in air pollution across the state. According to recent reports, AQI levels in several cities have reached hazardous thresholds, posing serious health risks to locals.

Health Impacts of Rising Pollution

Rising air pollution has already caused health problems in several districts. In Sikar, for instance, residents in Shanti Nagar industrial area reported breathing difficulties, with over 100 people seeking hospital treatment.

Air pollution can lead to:

  • Exacerbation of asthma and respiratory diseases
  • Skin irritation and eye problems
  • Weakening of the immune system
  • Severe health complications for children and the elderly

Experts Warn of Ongoing Threat

Authorities and environmental experts urge immediate action to control emissions from vehicles, industries, and construction dust. They also recommend vulnerable populations limit outdoor exposure, use masks, and install air purifiers at home to reduce health risks.

With winter fog combining with industrial and vehicular emissions, Rajasthan is witnessing a perfect storm for toxic air, making it imperative for both citizens and authorities to act swiftly.
