
Kota: Rajasthan Education and Panchayati Raj Minister Madan Dilawar’s visit to a MGNREGA worksite in Kota’s Ramganj Mandi assembly area turned into a delightful interaction with women workers, showcasing a lighter and relatable side of the minister.
During the visit, Minister Dilawar sat down to share a meal with the women laborers and praised the home-cooked food they had prepared. So impressed was he with the taste that he humorously suggested that his wife should also learn to cook such delicious meals. He even asked the women how much they would charge to provide such training, making the conversation light-hearted and jovial. Feedback on Government Schemes
The minister also took the opportunity to interact with the women about government schemes, gathering their feedback and listening to their challenges. Officials present were instructed to take necessary actions to resolve any issues faced by the workers, highlighting the government’s commitment to improving MGNREGA implementation.
Bajra Roti and Local Flavors
During the meal, the women served the minister traditional dishes including bajra roti, spinach curry, and stuffed eggplant bharta. Minister Dilawar mentioned that due to a wheat allergy, he prefers consuming coarse grains like bajra, jowar, and maize.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the women sang local folk songs such as “Bajre Ki Roti Kha Lo Mere Shyam”, making the meal a culturally rich and joyous occasion. The candid and warm-hearted interaction has captured public attention and is widely appreciated online.
